I don’t know about you, but one of the beauty routines I hate most during winter is washing my hair. Followed by 10 minutes of drying my hair and count in another 10 spent in straightening after. I love my extra 20 minutes of sleep and would go to any level to get that. So here enters my hero, DRY SHAMPOO!!!
The ultimate secret weapon for restoring volume and cleaning hair without water. A savior for cold winter mornings!

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk is an aerosol dry shampoo with softening and smoothing effects. It is the brand’s cult classic original formula, which uses a blend of starches – corn and rice plus natural absorbent microspheres to soak up those second day oils. It also contains oat milk to soothe the scalp, and is super gentle — hypoallergenic, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and suitable for all hair types.

Klorane claims, “Our award-winning dry shampoo has been a bestseller for over 40 years! Lauded as the original and best dry shampoo, Klorane Dry Shampoo gently revives hair in 2 minutes — naturally. With a unique combination of plant-based ingredients, our dry shampoo absorbs excess oil so hair is left clean and volumized. Available in different botanical formulas specifically designed for normal and oily hair. Both the Oat Milk and Nettle Dry Shampoo formulas are Allure Magazine Best of Beauty ‘Best Dry Shampoo’ award-winners: Dry Shampoo with oat milk (2011) and Dry Shampoo with nettle (2014). The longtime choice of celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger, its been praised for its versatility as a grease buster, volumizer, and waterless cleanser.”

This extra gentle oat milk cultivated in France softens, protects and moisturizes all hair types. The soothing and protective properties of the oat respect the natural balance of the scalp and hair, making it ideal for daily use. Cyclodextrins and natural polysaccharides penetrate the hair absorbing dirt and hair products when sprayed on. When brushed out, Klorane Oat Extract Dry Shampoo takes all impurities with it, and you are left with soft, clean hair. Made with softening oat milk extracts, plus corn and rice starches, this ultrafine powder spray performs a heroic array of functions: It soaks up oil and sweat from your roots and helps revive second day hair, amps up volume and helps extend the life of blowouts, and can be used as a texturing aide when you’re trying to perfect a tricky updo. It is on the pricier side at $20 for 150 milliliters compared to this, but still worth the money.

After spraying my roots with this product, I let it sit for about two minutes to soak up any oil, then brush my hair and style as usual. My hair looks and smells amazing after using this and it just soaks up any grease and leaves my hair looking clean and shiny. It sucks up oil almost immediately. It initially leaves a grey residue, but after massaging a minute or two and then brushing out, the residue disappears. Texture is light and doesn’t give that antique wig like appearance. It really absorbs the oil and gives me volume when I use it before I go to sleep and brush it out the next morning. It washes out easily with shampoo. It’s designed for all hair types.

I love the smell so much, it smells so fresh, like a floral powder and oatmeal, very light and non-offensive, and it fades quickly. The scent is most easily described as pleasant and nicely unobtrusive, a little bit powdery and creamy-sweet. The nozzle on the bottle never gets clogged, and the spray comes out evenly like a super fine powdery mist.

Only drawback I can think about is that it’s pretty easy to make your hair go white, if you don’t brush it out properly.

Dry shampoos are everything! I use them to texturize! Hold my style! Puff up my fine hair even when it’s clean! It gets oily slickness out of my roots and fluffs up my limp hair. It comes in another variation with Nettle extract, a natural astringent that helps control those overzealous oil glands in the scalp. That is next on my wish list!
