The Body Shop claims to soften and boost the skin’s elasticity and suppleness with this irresistible chocolate scented lotion. It is best for very dry skin and pregnant women to help prevent stretch marks. It has community trade cocoa butter, an excellent moisturizer that melts at body temperature, is rich in essential fatty acids and oxidants. It also has sunflower seed oil which is very rich in essential fatty acids and helps to restore skin’s natural moisture barrier to improve smoothness.I have been using this lotion for past 2-3 months now but it has not done anything extraordinary for me till now!!
I bought it from a factory outlet at Rinku Town, Osaka for 9$(on Sale) for a bottle of 250 ml.
The consistency is watery but moisturises ok.It is thin, light and is absorbed quickly.I think it is better for summer months when something light is required. Also I think it is more suitable for normal skin.It may not be enough for very dry skinned people contradictory to what The Body Shop claims.
I like it except for the smell which is nothing like cocoa. To me it smells like rotten incense sticks!!The smell is so strong and bad that I use it at night time or when I know I have to stay at home. But Thanks God that it disappears within 10-15 minutes.
I will not purchase it again but I may upgrade to the body butter as I have read rave reviews about it.
