I went to Tokyo Disney Sea 東京ディズニーシー in April, however I didn’t get time to upload this post before. Initially I wanted to visit both Disney Land and Disney Sea (in 1 day), however owing to limited time, I settled in for just Disney Sea. I read somewhere that Tokyo Disney Sea is the best Disney theme park in the world, owing to many dining options, great atmosphere and better and bigger rides. Tokyo Disney Sea has a nautical theme to it. It is near Tokyo bay and all rides are in some way related to water. Unlike Tokyo Disney Land,  Disney Sea is more focused on adults, with faster, scarier rides and shows designed for an older audience.
There are 7 theme areas – Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, Mermaid lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery and American Waterfront. It is recommended to go early or best spend at least 2 full days to experience so many options. However I didn’t have that much time and so I had to miss a few rides (good reason to go back). My favorite attraction was ‘Tower of Terror’ (although it was over in like 5 seconds, after I had to wait for an hour to get in!)
There are fast passes for all rides. However, I discovered that my brilliant idea of collecting fast passes for all rides together doesn’t work at Disney Sea. You can get fast pass for one ride every 2 hours. Honestly, I was expecting something like Universal Studios where I just paid an extra amount while paying for tickets and could get in the fast line at all attractions.
So it will be a good idea to go on a weekday. However, 4 years in Japan and I have realized that it is crowded everywhere everyday!!! So whenever you go, you will have to wait!
Tokyo Disney Sea is a must visit if you are in Tokyo. There is something for everyone there. Also, there are so many restaurants and shops. I could easily spend all my money on just collecting Disney goodies!
Best part about Tokyo Disney Sea is the spirit and atmosphere. All, and I mean adults plus children dress up their part in their Disney finery! So how could I pass on the opportunity to dress up a bit like Minnie for a day!

Ticket – 6900 Yen
Hours: 9:00 to 22:00 ( 8:00 to 10:00 on weekends)
Access: From JR Keiyo line Maihama station take Disney Resort Monorail to Tokyo Disney Sea station
When to go: Christmas/New Year will be a good time I think. I prefer this kind of weather, it is neither too cold not too hot. There is a long wait for all the attractions and it really helps to wait in the line if the weather is kind.
