Well frankly I just picked up 資生堂 Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing Essence from discounted items outside Matsumoto Kiyoshi, a famous drug store chain in Japan. It was really cheap at $ 4 and it was from Shiseido. Later on, I found out that it is one of the cult products of Shiseido. It has been around since 1897. Lots of Japanese started using it when they were teenagers and still use it. It is sold for as high as $ 20 in some countries. Shiseido claims, “Prized in Japan for over a century, Eudermine is one of Shiseido’s oldest products introduced in 1897. A softening lotion that delivers immediate moisture and improves your skin’s own moisturizing power. The result is supple, smooth skin. Packaging is nothing fancy, the one I have is different packaging than original. It is a heavy pink bottle made of glass, terrible for travelling as it is so heavy. It is sort of toner which I apply with a cotton pad after washing my face. It is supposed to moisturize your face, which it does to some extent, however I still follow with a moisturizer. It maintains hydration and moisture as well as tones skin. It is a toner and moisturizer at the same time. It is suitable for all skin types. It is safe to use both day and night. Although it is alcohol, it doesn’t irritate my skin as bad as some I have tried in the past. It does not dry out the skin, even though it’s an exfoliating product. It actually removes dirt and grime as I have noticed my cotton pad turning brown even though I just washed my face!! It removes all the left over dirt!! It has cleared my skin and definitely made it softer. I have used toners in the past that broke me out (even Clinique), but this hasn’t been bad to my skin. My skin absorbs it quickly and does not feel heavy or oily. It is a great base as moisturizer and makeup goes on smoothly after I apply this. I can’t say it is toner or moisturizer but whatever it is, works well.
