The ballet closes with a powdery amber finale, joining the dance through ambery woods and vanilla.” Repetto by Repetto is a floral, playful and fruity fragrance for women. I was given a sample of this interesting scent at Takashimaya department store and I was hooked. It is not a new perfume, which made it a bit difficult to get a hold on, but I finally found it! I am a fan of light scents that are feminine but not overly sweet. It is a light and sparkling perfume that is perfect for any weather. It’s sweet but not overbearing and the pear and rose notes jazz beautifully together. Repetto by Repetto, was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Polge, the famous perfumer. Repetto is a French company that successfully made the switch over from professional dance shoes to everyday ballet flats and much more now. They have a line of clothing, handbags, and not to forget, fragrance. Japan is their second biggest market outside France! Scent: Top notes are pear and cherry blossom; middle notes are rose and orange blossom; and base notes are amber, woody notes and vanilla pod. Repetto perfume’s pear note is very prominent. The other strong note is vanilla, which mixes with the pear to create a very delicious potion, sweet yet refreshing fruity! Rose water and cherry blossom are present but they only become prominent after the pear wears off. Packaging: This perfume comes exquisitely packaged in a powder pink box with a satin pink ribbon. The perfume is housed in a carved glass bottle. The glass is a tinted translucent tea color and there is a pale pink ribbon tied around the neck of the bottle – identical to the one used on Repetto ballet shoes. Additionally, a small pendant bearing the Repetto logo hangs from the ribbon. The bottle is adorned by a medallion on a pink ribbon like the one in the Repetto Carlota ballerina flat. Repetto by Repetto spells lovely freshness and a creamy muskier wood base with just a hint of vanilla and amber. It’s airy and yet strong, a bit gourmand but not too much, it is rich yet delicate, not heavy, just very feminine with a classy vibe. The sweetness is fresh and light. It is not very original, this formula has been tried and tested before – lovely, romantic and delicate! Longitivity: It has good presence and this sweet scent stays on for hours. It is a perfect scent for anyone who loves a bit of lighthearted fun. I like this a lot and I find it to go very well together with the ballerina theme – lovely freshness and a creamy wood base with just a hint of vanilla and amber.
