Price

$12 for 7.5ml (travel pack) and $31 for 22ml

Packaging

It comes in a soft plastic tube. The packaging is easy to use and perfect for traveling.

Formula

It has a silky smooth lightweight formula. Its formula contains silicones to make pores and fine lines appear smaller. Silicones do this by smoothing out the pores and filling in fine lines and wrinkles. They also give slip to the primer, which makes it glide smoothly on, and give a velvety feel to the skin. However, the best point is that it is oil-free and there are no “paraben” suffixes. On the days you want to go makeup free, you can wear this primer by itself for a natural blurring effect.

My Thoughts

This Benefit Cosmetics primer is great for oily and combination skin like me. It doesn’t accentuate my dry patches or break me out. This primer does a great job at filling pores and smoothing out my skin for a clean foundation application. It indeed blurs out imperfections and gives a really silky feel to the skin. It also helps my foundation achieve the full potential as it creates a smooth canvas for makeup application, thanks to the silicone texture. I try not to rub the primer onto the skin, instead, pat it in with my fingertips, it fills the pores better and I wait for about 5 minutes before following with foundation.

Will I buy it again?

The only downside is the price, considering many drugstore primers with silicon do nearly as good a job! Also, I didn’t feel that it had much effect on the longevity of my foundation. Additionally, although it is on the matte side, it made my nose oily after some time.

Overall, I recommend this primer for those who want a pore blurring effect. For sure it does leave the skin with a silky, nice-feeling layer of temporary softness. But well, I think with this price, I might try some other primer!
