Mt.Yoshino in Nara is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan. It has about 30,000 cherry blossom trees planted all along the mountain slope. The lower and the middle part of the mountain has Yoshinoya town with lots of shops, cafes, temples and shrines. There is a steep ascent between Yoshino station and the town which can be done on the foot or the rope way. There is a 90 minute walk from the station to the top which we obviously did not complete. It was very crowded and also because I got tired soon. But the most surprising thing for me was girls climbing the mountain in 6 inches heels.I was wearing Converse and still found it difficult to climb and even more difficult while coming down the mountain.I love wearing heels no doubt about it..but for once in a while I don’t mind giving up fashion for my comfort!!
