In autumn we seem to have more time in the evenings. Fewer activities are competing for our time, less reason to go out for drinks after work or attend evening fireworks festivals. In fact, autumn is the perfect time to start achieving your goals as you don’t think about your summer vacation and fun summer parties! Take advantage of cozy evenings at home. Spend some time learning something new, a skill or a hobby. Or learn a new language, start your own blog or business. Or why not spend more time with yourself by meditating, reading and just doing other activities that will help you to know yourself better. Autumn is the perfect time to start something new. If you binged-ate while watching Netflix all summer as I did, there is no better time to start eating healthy and start exercising than this season. During the autumn months, there are many fruits and vegetables available, making it easier to start a new healthy lifestyle. You can change your eating habits with new recipes and new ingredients, especially if like me you have fallen into a predictable pattern of ready to eat meals or takeouts. Not only is it easier to eat healthily, but the weather is perfect for a run around the neighborhood. It is easier to work out when it’s a little bit colder outside, with beautiful autumn foliage to calm and relax you even more. Another plus is that if you adopt healthy eating habits during the fall season, you will be healthier and have more energy during the winter season (and also you might feel less guilty for drinking that second cup of hot chocolate).
