It is too hot to go sight-seeing these days, so what better than enjoy 3 D paintings and art work in a cool air- conditioned atmosphere! That is why I went to a 3 D art work display in Kyocera Dome a few days back. For those who don’t know, Kyocera or Osaka Dome (大阪ドーム) is a baseball stadium that is the home stadium of The Orix Buffaloes Baseball Team. They also have various halls where exhibitions and shows are held regularly. Many 3D paintings are on display in the Sky Hall of Kyocera Dome. They are huge and have used colours, perspective techniques and lighting to create 3D effects on flat surface paintings. Trick art is involved using visual manipulation or optical illusions to create these paintings. We could get creative and pose for photographs with 3D paintings. They even have instructions and pictures of different poses that could be tried to recreate real looking photographs. There are a good number of paintings and the staff is really helpful and often came forward to take our photographs. I personally think that it is a fun thing to do once in a while. It took me a while to loosen up and pose for the pictures. But once I did, there was no stopping me. I highly recommend going there if you have nothing to do on a hot sunny afternoon or if you are into art or if are looking for something fun to do! And yes, it is a must do if you have kids!
